Who can join?
Markinch District Community Choir is for everyone—no auditions, no pressure, just the joy of singing together. Whether you’ve been singing for years or just belting out tunes in the shower, you’re welcome here. We love seeing new faces, young and old, come along and give it a go! Singing isn’t just a hobby—it’s a skill, a confidence boost, and a great way to meet people. So, if you’re 14 or older (16+ if unchaperoned), come and see what it’s all about. You might just find your voice in a way you never expected!
Membership Details
Your first session is free, so you can come along and see if it’s right for you. After that, membership costs £60 per term, with flexible payment options available either monthly or weekly. The choir runs across two terms each year: January to June (with a summer concert) and August to December (ending with a Christmas concert). Rehearsals take place every Wednesday evening from 7–9 pm during term time, with breaks for designated holidays like Easter. Each term includes regular weekly rehearsals and culminates in a concert performance.
